All girls try lose weight (or work hard to maintain their already-slim frames) before their wedding.  It’s just a fact of life.  No matter how unhealthy their diets are before the big date, they’ll usually be working for a better physique at least a month or two before marching down the aisle.

Natasha Bedingfield already has a pretty nice figure but she’s hard at work to look even better for her upcoming wedding to fiance Matt Robinson.  The British star who brought us hits like “These Words” and “Frogs and Princes” has been reported to be on a serious mission to get in perfect shape.

Natasha Bedingfield’s Diet

According to Natasha, she sticks to the Zone Diet, which is a low-carb plan that recommends a 30% fat, 30% protein and 40% carbohydrate meal ratio.  She’s been on the same diet for a while, though, and currently just works to keep it up.

Exercise

What she has amped up in preparation for the big day, though, is exercise.  She currently works out every day - that’s seven out of the week.  According to the singer, since she was already on a good diet, she figured more exercise should tone her up fast and make her beauty shine out even more.

You don’t need to buy expensive prepared meals in order to keep your diet in order.  Even rising food prices in the grocery isn’t a reason to make do without your healthy supply of fruits, greens and lean meat.  If you shop wisely, you can keep both your figure thin and your wallet fat, with no compromises in between.

1. Make Your Shopping List Beforehand And Stick To It

Having a list before hitting the store so you buy only what you need.  Avoid buying products that aren’t on your list, no matter how healthy or tasty they look upon first glance.

2. Buy Whole, Unprocessed Foods

Whole foods are always cheaper since you eliminate much of activities to create processed products.  This is great news for you, since whole foods retain their natural flavor and nutrients, compared to their processed counterparts.

3. Buy All Your Food In One Place

Find one grocery near you that stocks most everything you need for your diet.  One trip once a week is obviously cheaper than multiple trips to different stores at various times.

4. Buy Frozen

Frozen fruits and vegetables, while not as attractive as fresh fare, usually sell for half the price of those lined up in racks.  While the freezing may shed away some of the nutrients, it’s usually not a drastic enough change to warrant paying so much more.

5. Buy Generic Fare

Anything with a brand name includes the marketing and packaging in the final price.  You don’t need a brand, you need healthy fare, so stick to unbranded stuff.

6. Buy Fruits And Vegetables In Season

It will take some planning but you’ll save plenty of money when you arrange your eating plans according to what fruits and vegetables are in season.  Since there’s plenty of supply, prices will be considerably cheaper, not to mention fresher.

Do you still find it hard to eat vegetables?  I don’t blame you.  A lot of people I know who have been raised on red meat and processed carbs find it hard to consume these healthy, low-calorie food options.  However, vegetable consumption will play a large part in your eating program, regardless of what diet you get into and it’s important for you to find a way to get accustomed to incorporating them into your meals.

Try one of these preparations and see if it works to make greens and other vegetables easier to swallow.

  • Raw - We’re not asking you to move to a raw diet.  Instead, we’re asking you to try if you like the taste of uncooked vegetables over those put through the fire.  Organic vegetables, in particular, are incredibly tasty when eaten raw.  You might be amazed by how sweet carrots can actually be.  Make sure to wash them thoroughly, though.
  • Steamed - If raw is a little too caveman for your sensibilities, steaming will soften them up a little without impinging on much of the taste.
  • Grilled - Very few people grill their veggies, totally unaware of the whole new dimension the smoky flavor can add to its taste.  Brushed with a little oil for flavor, you might just discover your new meal staple.
  • Add them to other dishes - My personal favorite is using the vegetables in dishes we normally prepare at home.  For instance, we love chicken spring rolls at home so I usually dice vegetables into small pieces and mix them in with the meat.  The result is the same dish we love with just a hint of variety.

You don’t need to cringe through finishing your required daily servings of vegetables.  Just experiment a little and you’ll eventually find something you can do with those healthy produce that really suits your taste.

Anna Faris, who last starred in the light-hearted comedy House Bunny, recently talked about how she got fit for the role of Playboy model Shelly.  While she’s always had a physique guaranteed to turn heads, Anna said she had to do extra work to get into the ultra-sexy figure the role required.

Six weeks before filming started, the blonde actress started working closely with  personal trainer Nicole Stuart, who put her through a strict cardio and Pilates routine six days a week.  The  fitness routine worked and, if you saw the movie, Anna’s superbly fit body would definitely have caught your attention.

Of course, she had to diet too.  In fact, Anna claims she was eating next to nothing during filming so she can maintain the Playboy Bunny curves she’s worked hard for in the weeks leading up to it.  Her diet for the duration of that period consisted of very limited fare and was restricted largely to chicken and steamed vegetables.

She admits, however, that there is no way in the world she can maintain that way of eating and has gone back to regular fare - burgers and fries - as soon as the movie was over.  She did fall in love with Pilates, though, and has kept it in her schedule long after the movie was done.
